A Must Read!I Give Two Thumbs Up!
This is amazing book! This book was so surreal. I totally understand where Ramon (Earthquake) was coming from. I am from Chicago and I was growing up in that same era. I have to admit i did shed some tears but i also had some laughs too. This book is definitely excellent reading material. It is good to have told his story and I pray that people read this with your teens and answer any questions they may have and offer advice. This is an exquisitely written autobiography. I couldn't put the book down and i cant wait for the next book.
Phenomenal! I Loved it!
An outstanding, superbly written book that holds the reader's attention, leaving you wanting more. In true Donald Goines, Iceberg Slim fashion, it's raw, gritty, and the author's transparency is remarkable. The big difference is the self reflection, growth, and insight expressed at the end of each chapter. I couldn't put it down, a real page turner. Anybody who lived through the 80's and 90's will especially appreciate the familiar people, places, and things that made up Chicago during that era when hustlin' was a way of life for many. It's almost like you're transported through time. The intricate details make you feel like you're right there. I laughed out loud and I shed a few tears. I CAN'T WAIT for the sequels! A must read!
